Discovering old bakeries in Oświęcim turned out to be more moving than we could have expected. Until now, no one has been so openly interested in giving voice to the history of everyday life. As an architect, I am moved, along with the entire design team, that Oświęcim has many shades of history, including the ineffable and moving. There are also difficult moments of reflection leading to the question why so much is not yet known. In the interwar period there were about 5 bakeries in the city of Oświęcim (the city center and the nearest surroundings). Recently, the last of them was closed. I will develop the topic in subsequent entries.
